For a few weeks now, the group have been holding a free dinner on Wednesday nights for friends to come together and share life. It's become evident that we're heading in the right direction as it's picked up quite quickly, growing each week and promising reports from all who attend. It's been a real blessing to get to know the unique stories and personalities of our newfound friends, with legends like Taylor, Anna and Brie who
have been with us from the start. Last night's potato bake under the stars was a banger of a night, beautifully lit by fairy lights hanging from the trees and Laura's disco ball speaker thing.
One of the other highlights of the week is actually our online subject for this term, focusing on New Testament Foundations. It's fascinating making the connections between what is written in the gospels and the cultural influences which shaped them. We are also required to post in weekly forums to further our understanding on the subject. This gives us the opportunity to engage with other MST students' response and wait in anxiety as the unpredictable Wilma types her response.
I'm looking forward at this point to travelling to Parkes next weekend to take part in a community awareness weekend with Ps Dave and Mark Worthing from ALC. The weekend arose from a need for mental health awareness, something which is a great passion of mine. I also eagerly await the looming assessment dates which always seem to creep up without warning!
Grace and Peace friends,
